NOFF is calling on Federal Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek to act immediately to remove salmon pens permanently.

The Maugean skate could be potentially the World's first modern day marine fish extinction caused by human activity See why 80 worldwide groups demand an end to accreditation agencies greenwashing the extinction of the Maugean skate.

In his research paper The Extinction Diet - Tasmanian Atlantic Salmon versus the Maugean Skate, John Paull, PhD, University of Tasmania, discusses the problem, and asks:

Stop Press!

NOFF is taking the fight to save the Maugean skate right to Environment Minister, Tanya Plibersek's doorstep in her electorate in Sydney. Our message on a billboard will greet her when she arrives and leaves - it's right outside her office!

It's our reminder that she has to act NOW to halt salmon production in Macquarie Harbour - the only sure way to save this relic of the dinosaurs from extinction.

We need your support to help drive this message right across Australia - we can't do it without you.

Contribute through Pozible, a new way to spread our message more widely right across Australia - and one you can share with everyone you know.

And it's not just a way to raise funds to drive the campaign - it's also a way to show our thanks, with t-shirts, books and stickers on offer for people who contribute.

Thanks for your support - together we are making a difference!

And will the skate be the only beneficiary of a proposed oxygenation project (already long-delayed)?
