Save Our Bass, Devenport, 26 April 2025

Unity in Community information is holding "Save our Bass", Haines Park, Devonport, 10am Saturday 26 April. Walk, row, surf, sail, fish and farm starts 8.00am Aikenhead Point.

Speakers will start at 10:00 am Haines Park, focusing on major projects proposed for Bass Strait, including salmon farms, Marinus Link, and wind farms. Those who use Bass Strait for recreational and commercial purposes are among those who stand to lose the most from these projects, which have the potential to impact marine ecology, increase safety risk, and limit access to and enjoyment of the ocean waters.

The purpose of the "Save our Bass" gathering is to present the public with a balanced range of viewpoints from speakers on both sides of the debate.
